What is EDDM?

EDDM every door direct mail is based off zip codes and carrier routes. A zip code, let’s say 55120 in Mendota Heights, has seven carrier routes. A carrier route is defined by how much mail a human can drop off in a day. An example is like a rural route where they have to drive a lot between houses, so are going to have less houses on a carrier route. A city block is going to have more in New York. You might have one building that's carrier up because they have to unlock every box and lock it back up. Our EDDM tool allows you to pick a zip code. Look at the average income in that zip code and then pick different carrier routes based on that data. The benefit of EDDM is that it's cheaper. The problem is that you have to send a piece of mail to every address on a selected route, so it’s less targeted.
